AWS CLI (Command Line Interface)

The AWS Command Line Interface (AWS CLI) is a unified tool to manage your AWS services. With just one tool to download and configure, you cant control multiple AWS services from the command line and automate them through scripts.

Ø  CLI Commands:

·         System Commands that are encoded as part of the operating system interface

·         Executable programs that, when successfully invoked run text-based or graphical applications

·         Batch programs (batch files or shell scripts) which are text files listing a sequence of commands

Ø  How to use CLI Commands?:

·         Locate the CLI in the system/ PC

·         Open it

·         Type your commands within it

·         Press enter key

v  Bootstrap Script:

Bootstrap- Bootstrap is a free, open source front-end development framework for the creation of websites and web apps. Designed to enable responsive development of mobile-first websites, bootstrap provides a collection of syntax for template designs.

Bootstrap actions are scripts that run on cluster after Amazon EMR launches the instance using the Amazon Linux Amazon Machine Image (AMI). Bootstrap actions run before Amazon EMR installs the applications that you specify when you create the cluster and before cluster nodes begin processing data. This script is also known as user- data script.
